Super Smash Bros' combos are mostly short or single strikes chained together, made possible by the high maneuverability compared to most fighting games.
And I play "real man" fighting games too, Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter, DOA, KOF, Guilty Gear, the only major one I don't like is Tekken. Smash Bros is definitely up there. |

There is a learning curve for some of the more hardcore fighting games, Smash Bros can be played very competitively too, it's just easier to get started. |

That's because there are actually real button combos instead of "IF I RANDOMLY MASH A AND B ALONG WITH RANDOM DIRECTIONS, I DO DAMAGE". |

Smash Bros is just easy to get started, once you raise the difficulty or play against someone good, button mashing doesn't work for very long.
Speaking of Smash Bros, Sonic the Hedgehog is now officially in.
