Holy fuck was this a bitch to do. Because EVGA is run by dumbshits they decided to put the SATA connectors on the side of the mobo, and then make them really difficult to insert, but really easy to remove, which meant it couldn't read my primary HDD. It took about 50 fucking boots to figure out the problem. I had to contort the IDE cable in all sorts of interesting ways to get it to fit. Thank God its a round one and not a flat one like most. Having the molex connectors being used by the fans didn't help my situation. After all this shit, my display driver decided it couldn't stand the new guests, and decided to voice its displeasure by first turning the entire screen eye-raping pink, and then doing some rather interesting things to my desktop. However, the Ctrl-Alt-Dlt command allowed Windows to sort out the problem the next time I booted. But, I can't complain too much, I did just get 320GBs of HDD space for nothing.

Buy everything at once, and don't upgrade until you need a new system. I'd wait until the new CPUs from Intel come out and come down in price before building a system. Also, the GeForce 8-series is on its way out, I'd go with a 9-series or higher card from here on out. PM for specifics on which card to buy.

As for your other question, I plan on getting another 8800GT for SLI, replacing my current 8800GT with a new, better one, throwing the old one along with a cheap processor and 2GBs of RAM on my old mobo with Apevia X-qpack case and turn it into a LAN rig. I also plan on swapping PSUs. You'll all see by December.
