Shadow is a hedgehog, but a genetically engineered hedgehog regardless. He may be the ultimate life form, but he's still a hedgehog, and as such, he has to eat. He probably just eats whatever he wants, anyway. It's not like all of the characters are confined to one food. Just because you like a particular food, that doesn't mean it's all that you eat.
